Is Mass Effect NTSC-J version REGION FREE?

i can confirm it is PAL compatible!!!
Dec 19, 2007: Proof that play-asia.com is 'toying' with the region info. Check screen below, so my 'theory' ...If pa.com doesn't show compat icons the title probably will be region free

Although play-asia.com doesn't list Mass Effect NTSC-J version as region free (for reasons unknown but probably having to do with Mass Effect being a major 360 title, the same true for Halo3, PGR4 and who knows the coming Alan Wake, Too Human and Rock Band), i can now (dec 1 , 2007) confirm is works on PAL XBOX 360. So Europeans can buy this version dirt cheap thx to a strong Euro-Dollar conversion, and play it on their PAL Xbox 360 consoles.
